For Bangalore Central District ,the launch of the “Swatchata se Divyata Tak” programme was initiated in Sai Darshan premises. Sri.S.N.S.Murthy,IPS, DG & IGP (Retd.) of Karnataka, lighted the lamps and spoke about the importance of the programme and read few quotes on cleanliness from Mahatma Gandhi and Bhagwan Baba. Two Bal Vikas Children and Gurus sang “Vaishnava Janato Teney Kahiye” after which all the devotees present chanted ” Om Tat sat Sri “. District President Dwarakanadh briefed the volunteers about the scope of work and announced the teams and the areas each one has to visit. Aarthi was performed to Bhagawan .Lunch prasadam was given to all volunteers before they proceeded for the cleaning work. Gloves and Trash bags were provided. Pamphlets and Posters describing the importance of hygiene and cleanliness were printed in English and Kannada and distributed to all Shops in New Thippasandra Road and Jeevan Bhima Road. The activity was well received by general public. Before 20th October few more activities will be performed under the aegis of various Samithis in the District.
