‘Arpan – A School for Special Children’ Adopted by SSSVJ
‘Arpan’ is a School with a difference having around 35 special children. It caters to the mentally challenged children coming from the economically weaker section. Parents, totally dejected with the thought that their child is Special but cannot ever come to the Mainstream – restrained by their financial condition, are constrained to leave their children at Arpan and pray for a miracle to happen and treat their child. The treatment of these children is possible with the help of good doctors committed for the social cause.

Sri Satya Sai Seva Samiti, Bhilai has made a humble beginning by adopting ‘Arpan’ under the SSSVJ Scheme. The Bhilai Samiti in collaboration with the Homeopathic Medical Association, C.G. is treating these 35 children and giving them free medicines. The ailments of retarded children vary from Cerebral Palsy, Mental and Physical expectation of Hydrocephalus, Autism, Mental immaturity, Epilepsy, Blindness, Deafness, Silent development, Speech Disorders, Schizophrenia syndrome, Genetic disorders, Congenital diseases and Neurological diseases.
Dr Girish Keshwani, Dr Kamal Manikpuri, Dr K R Sahu from the CG Homeopathic Medical Association, examined these children carefully, met the parents to understand the history and activities of the child and thereafter went in for the detailed study of each case before starting their treatment. With the blessings of Bhagwan Baba, within 4 months there is a miraculous improvement in these children. Some children have become independent and a few who were unable to move their limbs have started to write. It was a pleasure to see the happiness of the parents on seeing their ward improving. These doctors have also been awarded the Best Lifestyle Award for their invaluable contribution in the field of treatment and for their exceptional services. In addition to the medical treatment of these children, the Bhilai Samiti provides them with the provisions and has also initiated training these children in embroidery and stitching work. This was all possible only because of the vision shown by Bhagwan Baba and His blessings.
