SaiRam. Today, Oct 2nd 2017, the SSSO Wynad team undertook a mega cleaning Service program at the KSRTC Depot, S. Bathery. The program was conceived by the Service wing as part of Gandhi Jayanthi and in line with the Prime Ministers Swatch Bharath program with the slogan Swtchatha se Divyatha tak. About 60 persons participated in the Service. Participants ranged from Balvikas students, Mahilas, Youth ( ladies and gents), Active workers to the very senior but young at heart sevaks. The 5 acre compound and the surrounding roads, approach ways, back yards etc were cleared of vegetation both manually and by using machines. Main areas were sweeped up and the wastes carted off to dumping areas. Meanwhile the in the cleaning bay, bus cleaning progressed with enthusiasm. Two buses at a time were parked for cleaning. The buses were watered, scrubbed, cleaned with soap. The insides were cleaned by Mahilas. The top of the buses was tackled by energetic youth members. All others irrespective of age joined in cleaning all the surfaces. All the participants experienced the grace of our beloved Bhagwan in the sheer joy they got from the Service. A wonderful sense of unity pervaded throughout the Service. The refreshments were provided by Bathery Samithi. All together about 17 buses were cleaned. But of course the amount of devotion and dedication could not be measured.
