The youth of Kolkata district conducted Mass cleaning activity today on 13.10.2019 at Joynagar and Sardarpara Village guided by the senior members. The young chosen agents of Cleanliness to Godliness drive were equipped with the necessary Cleaning material, viz. Bleaching Powder, Gloves, Brooms, Baskets, dustbin Bags, spade etc. and the entire area which was earlier covered with grass and garbage was cleaned up viz. school ground, Meeting point, temple, main road etc, inter alia. The bleaching powder was sprayed after cleaning. The next part of the programme was mass tree plantation where 108 seedlings of trees viz Jack fruit, Bel, Jamun etc along with other useful trees were planted inside the two villages at places viz. Temple, houses, on the pond side etc. as per their request. Since there is no provision to report cumulative SSDT effort of various Samithis in the national portal, the report is being uploaded here Samithiwise by breaking up the participation figure accordingly.
