Sri Sathya Sai Disaster Management Team, Tamil Nadu has rendered services during Chennai Flood in four levels as A B C D.. 

1) Actual Rescue during the floods with the support of temporary floods, boat, human chain etc. :Due to the vigorous down pour the majority areas near the lakes at various places were effected very much.  On 16th November 2016 morning around 6.00 am received a call from Tambaram-Mudichur that people needed rescue support. Immediately well trained DM member initiated the rescue action and with the support of local members team was able make temporary float and rescued more than 45 persons from the flood area..

Also received a call from Urapakkam near Vandalore at around 8.00 am on the same day (16-11-16). DM team reached within an hour and it was effected above the normal assumption.  With the DIVINE power the team reached highly effected area where camera and media did not cover. Five (5) DM members were able to save few lives and rescued more than 60 persons with the support of rope which was used as hand rail.

Near Pallikaranai behind Kamakshi Hospital rescued a pregnant lady with the support of boat and also distributed the relief materials in more water logged area through the same boat.

2) Basic Relief services – Providing required relief materials like foods, biscuits, water, medicine natural tonic (Nelavemu Kasayam) etc. These natural tonics were distributed to more than 25000 persons (around 6 big containers 6000 litres of tonic Nelavembu kasayam) at Kanchipuram, Chennai near Tambaram, Medavakkam, Saidapet ett

3) Cleaning (Holy Sanitation): It is one of the very vital services, DM team took up the complete sanitation works at Relief camps (more than 300 persons were stationed) Medavakkam, OMR, Government General Hospital, Tambaram @ Chromepet which were the places where more water logged.

4) Door to Door distribution   “ The Disaster Management Team took part in the distribution of ” SAI PRASADAM’ in a cartoon boxes of materials like essential provisions, saree, dothie,mat, tooth paste, all together more than 21 items.  Got an opportunity to distribute in the villages, hamlets and effected areas.  Through which more than 30,000 families (Approx) were benefited in and all around the Districts of Chennai, Kanchipuram., Trivallur and Cudalore. The recipients were so happy and prayed for the well being of Sai members and thanked Bhagawan Baba for all the help they received.
